Night Becomes Day / Typographic Children's Book
The concern of this project was on the accurate description of "Night Becomes Day" and the potential to develop a dynamic typographic story. The intended goal was to create an extensive, logistical series of typographic expressions. Night Becomes Day is based on the story written and illustrated by Richard McGuire. The story is an innovative journey through a child’s dreams. The book displays each stage of the child’s dream, as a full page spread. Each spread displays large letterforms bleeding off of the pages with a small character to help to define the scene. The book was designed to capture the imagination of children through concept. The book has a hardcover exhibiting a hand bound Coptic Stitch binding. Actual Size: 8” x 10”
